Courtland girls’ hoops team has stellar record – in the classroom and on the court
Courtland High School’s girls’ basketball team will be recognized at Monday’s School Board meeting.
By now, we’ve all probably heard about their 30 wins this season and their march to the state title game.
But, what I just learned as I scanned the plans for Monday night’s meeting, is that they have an equally impressive record in the classroom. The girls on the team have a combined Grade Point Average of 3.957, according to school officials.
That’s two great records. Congratulations, girls.
Below is a list of the players, managers and coaches who will be recognized during Monday’s meeting.
- Arianna Bradley
- Anika Trent
- Imani Fennell
- Jessica Hairston
- Janae McNeal
- Khari Whited
- Megan Amrhine
- Alicia Bova
- Sarah Boelsche – manager
- Kristen Brown – manager
- Assistant Coach Kristen Roscoe
- Assistant Coach Ashley Woodward
- Assistant Coach Laura Gast
- Head Coach J.T. Nino
You can cheer for this year’s Lady Cougars one more time and the many other students who will be recognized during the meeting.
Monday’s meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the school administration building, 8020 River Stone Drive in the Massaponax area.
Also, if you can’t be there, you can check out the meeting either on TV or, for the first time, via live streaming on the Internet. You can find details on the live streaming at the board’s web site.
