Board of Supervisors reacts to School Board budget
My colleague, Jeff Branscome, covered last night’s meeting between Spotsylvania County’s two chief boards.
The School Board presented its fiscal 2013 budget proposal to the supervisors who must review it before deciding on the amount of funding to allocate to the school division.
Supervisor Gary Skinner, a former School Board member, demonstrated his school support by asking school officials to document their true needs, in particular with respect to teaching positions to address issues including class size.
Chairwoman Ann Heidig expressed appreciation for the School Board’s decision to present a balanced budget.
The two boards gather together again next Tuesday for a work session at the Holbert Building.
