Sheriff’s Office calls Freedom Middle incident unfortunate but not criminal
The Sheriff’s Office just released this information relative to Wednesday’s suspicious incident reported by a Freedom Middle School student.
On January 26, 2012 Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office deputies were patrolling the area of Freedom Middle School watching for the person identified yesterday by a 14 year old female Freedom Middle student after he followed her from the school to her residence. The Sheriff’s Office was able to locate a man matching the description out running in the subdivision.
The male was cooperative and very apologetic. He is visiting his adult daughter who lives directly across from the student and he is in town helping with her newborn baby. He goes out running every day and cools down by slowly jogging and stretching before going inside.
The Sheriff’s Office has thoroughly interviewed all parties involved and have determined this was an unfortunate set of circumstances and there was no ill will on the part of the male who is very upset that he scared this student and caused fear in the neighborhood.
