Tax holiday for school supplies coming Aug. 5-7
OK. We’re still deep into summer break but here’s a tip about saving money on back-to-school shopping, courtesy of the Spotsylvania school division.
The division has posted the dates for this year’s tax-free holiday. You can check the division’s web site (spotsyschools.us) or I’ll just save you a step and provide the division’s information here.

The annual Sales Tax Holiday for supplies, clothing, and shoes will be the weekend of August 5-7. During this three-day period, purchases of certain school supplies, clothing and shoes are tax-free. Each eligible school supply item must be priced at $20 or less, and each eligible article of clothing or shoes must be priced at $100 or less.
