New assistant superintendent just named
The School Board just approved Dr. S. Scott Baker as the next assistant superintendent for instruction.
Dr. Baker starts on Wednesday. He’s returning to Spotsylvania County after an 11-year hiatus. He’s currently the director of curriculum and instruction for Hanover County schools.
He worked in Spotsylvania from 1997-2000, serving as a teacher and administrative intern at Spotsylvania High School and an assistant principal at John J. Wright Middle School.
