Courtland High’s principal heading to S.C.

Courtland High School Principal Steven Fitch is leaving Spotsylvania County at the end of this school year.

The Horry County School Board named him as the next principal of Conway High School in Conway, S.C., at its meeting on Monday.

Conway is 15 miles inland from Myrtle Beach.

    That is too bad. I like what Mr. Fitch has done with Courtland. Hoping the person he passes the torch to will be on par with Mr. Fitch’s approach.

    Mr Fitch, having a son that Graduated from Riverbend in 2009, we were sorry to see you leave that school. You posed yourself as an Administrator, but the kids loved and respected you. Spotsylvania is losing a great assett to our educational system. Godspeed and we wish you health and happiness. You will be missed……
