Superintendent’s retirement questioned
As budget season gets under way, people across Spotsylvania County are asking questions about Superintendent Jerry Hill’s early retirement package.
In tomorrow’s Free Lance-Star, you’ll find two stories discussing that issue, including one that reviews what a prosecutor said he expected after he agreed to drop a misdemeanor charge against Hill in 2006.
You can review Dr. Hill’s contract for yourself and a letter from the prosecutor summarizing the criminal case.
Also, don’t forget the budget public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the school division’s administration building, 8020 River Stone Drive in Massaonax. This is your chance to offer your ideas on priorities for the fiscal 2012 budget that begins July 1.
