10 Spotsy schools honored by governor
Ten Spotsylvania County schools are among a list of schools across Virginia honored today by Gov. Bob McDonnell.
Three schools – Chancellor and Wilderness elementaries and Freedom Middle – were among 323 across Virginia honored with a 2011 Board of Education Excellence Award.
Seven schools were among 289 across Virginia honored with the 2011 Board of Education Competence to Excellence Award. Those schools are: Riverbend High and Battlefield, Brock Road, Cedar Forest, Harrison Road, Salem and Spotswood elementary schools.
