Spotsylvania Middle offers grief information following student’s death on Saturday
Spotsylvania Middle School Principal Mark Beckett sent a letter home with students today informing parents of the death of eighth grader Jamie Lynn Dickens on Saturday.
Jamie was killed in a traffic accident as her family was returning from fall break.
The letter offers tips for parents about ways their children may react to the situation and how they can assist them.
The school’s web site also has a list of resources for dealing with grief.
