School Board approves new hires for principal, yearbook positions

The Spotsylvania County School Board on Monday approved two new principal and three assistant principal appointments.

Calvin Frye, previously a principal in the Richmond area, was appointed principal at Chancellor Middle School. Caroll Lewter was appointed principal at Wilderness Elementary.

 Michele Coates was appointed assistant principal at Lee Hill Elementary, Robin Chilton at Courtland Elementary, and Robert Marchetti at Massaponax High School.

 The School Board also approved the hiring of University of Mary Washington graduate Justin Toney as the new journalism teacher and yearbook and newspaper adviser at Massaponax High School.
