Superintendent is releasing his budget

Spotsylvania School Superintendent Jerry Hill is currently announcing $14.7 million in cuts for the fiscal 2011 budget. Those cuts include 131 positions and elimination of freshman and middle school sports.

Hill also cut his own pay, calling for a 3-day furlough for himself, all assistant superintendents, directors and principals. In addition, he is giving up 3 days of his annual leave. Those moves save $75,173.
