Annual GCC Educational Foundation Dinner a celebration of making a difference, no matter what obstacles must be overcome
The Germanna Community College Educational Foundation Annual Dinner and reception will be held on Friday, Nov. 18 at the Fredericksburg Country Club. The reception begins at 6 p.m.
It comes at a time when GCC administrators, faculty, staff and students have pulled together, worked hard and maintained a can-do attitude to shrug off the effects of an earthquake that put one of its main buildings out of commission for a year and moved forward, seeing enrollment continue to increase despite the quake, and continuing to deliver quality higher education and workforce training to our community.
“This is not a fundraiser,” said GCC Educational Foundation Director Michael Catell. “Instead, it is a time when we celebrate philanthropy at Germanna, and show our appreciation to those who provide scholarship funds for our students and invest in faculty and staff professional development.”
A highlight of the evening will be testimonials from three Germanna students who have received scholarships. Others include student entertainment and networking in a pleasant, relaxed environment, Catell said.
The cost, including the reception and dinner, is $50 per person.
Please call 540/423-9060 for reservations.
“Please join us as we celebrate philanthropy, the positive impact of the mission of GCC, and the vital role Germanna plays in the lives of those we serve,” Catell said.
