By the first grade in Liverpool, her arts and crafts work consisted of miniature cemeteries and mausoleums.

By age 7, she had a ghost poem published in the Liverpool Echo.

So it should come as little surprise that her first novel, the supernatural fantasy “Among Other Edens,” is a tale of “Murder, lies, suicide, and betrayal.”

Along the way, Guinevere Edern has learned that she loves to teach creative writing–especially about vampires– and she’s found a home at Germanna’s Center for Workforce & Community Education.

With Halloween around the corner, it’s appropriate that she’ll sign copies of the chilling “Among Other Edens” from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at The Griffin in downtown Fredericksburg.
