No self pity: Devon Geary’s grit leads to limitless possibilities

Devon Geary had to drop out of James Monroe High School due to a debilitating illness. She says that the fact that Germanna Community College treated her as just another student instead of a victim helped her find the courage to pursue a college career. Thanks in part to the work of GCC Disabilities Coordinator Win Stevens, she earned a 4.0 at GCC and a scholarship to prestigeous Amherst College.
