Canning demo one of many foodie finds at the fair
Food stories abound at the Virginia State Fair.
You’ve got your fried foods and lines for sweet tea. You’ll still be able to find a focus on agriculture at Meadow Events Park in Carolin. The Virginia Cooperative Extension will present a Home Canning Demonstration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday. Visitors can stop by at anytime during those four hours to ask canning questions, get canner lids tested and watch demonstrations.
