Holiday market (with local cheese) in King George this weekend
The King George Farmers Market will host its Holly Jolly Local Holiday Market on Saturday (Dec. 15) from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at King George Elementary School.
Regular market shoppers (and cheese lovers) might want to note that the market will include two local cheese makers. Orange County’s Marshall Farms will be selling its cows’ milk cheeses, and Rapidan-based Everona Dairy will offer its sheep’s milk cheeses.
Visitors will be able to breakfast on free cooked greens with cornbread, with coffee and cocoa available for a donation. Local music and artists will round out the day, and Fancy’s Friends 4-H Dog Club will run a gift-wrapping table and bake sale.
