Fall wine and beer fest aims to become annual tradition
Emstat, the organizers of the Fredericksburg Wine Festival, which runs in October, have added a beer and wine festival called Knovemberfest to their repertoire.
The inaugural Knovemberfest will take place this Saturday and Sunday at the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Burnley, Castle Gruen, Windsong and Mattaponi wineries, along with the Blue and Gray Brewing Co., will sample and sell their beverages. There will also be artisans and crafters, food vendors, live music and other activities. Attendees will be able to test drive a Fiat and there will be a drawing for a case of wine.
Admission is $10, but organizers are offering half-off the ticket price to anyone who shows up in their Halloween costume.
