But that growing popularity has brought many large corporations into the industry, and has caused many new ingredients, even certain pesticides, to be added to the OK list for certified organic standards. Benny’s Sub Shop has leased 1,200 square feet of retail space in the King George Gateway shopping center at U.S. 301 and Commerce Drive in the Dahlgren area of King George County.
Local entrepreneur Ryan Bullock is shooting for an early August opening for his new restaurant and space-themed nightclub in downtown Fredericksburg. Digital menus, sushi and an illuminated bartop are among the planned features. Learn more here.
The Virginia Barbeque at 451 Jefferson Davis Highway is under new management. Kenneth Bach, a longtime Fredericksburg resident, has bought the franchise from Tony Greathouse and done a quick renovation. It is expected to reopen this week. More information here.
