THE FRONT BURNER
FLS reporter Katie Thisdell serves up news on local food finds, tales from home cooks and inspiration to help you have fun in your own kitchen.
Fredericksburg-area food connections on public radio
Fredericksburg area residents will find familiar names in the April 14 episode of “The Splendid Table,”American Public Media’s radio show about all things food, with host Lynne Rossetto Kasper.
First, road-food afficionados Jane and Michael Stern profiled Warrenton’s Red Truck Bakery, which we recently wrote about here. In particular, they said the bakery’s granola was the best they’d ever had.
Kasper also interviewed former Free Lance-Star political reporter Hank Shaw about his book, Hunt, Gather, Cook. Shaw offered tips on spring foraging. You can read our story about Shaw and his book here.
