Local goats’ milk products, winter vegetables and more in Spotsy on Saturday

Here are a few more details on what you’ll find at Spotsylvania’s winter farmers market this Saturday, which is at the Gordon Road commuter lot from 9 a.m. until noon.

Market Manager Elizabeth Borst reports:

Sweet Valley Farm Dairy will have a variety of goats’ milk cheese, and a new batch of goats’ milk soap, a popular item that customers bought out over the holidays.

Roberto Medina checked his field and found an abundance of over-wintered crops. Look for Brussels sprouts, arugula, lettuce, salad mix, onions, garlic, radishes, turnips and beets.

Other vendors will include Papa Weaver’s pork, John Biscoe’s microgreens and James Headley’s oysters and seafood.
