Farm Bureau to host Virginia Food & Wine Festival Saturday

If your holiday shopping plans include picking up some Virginia food items, you won’t find a more ready-made shopping opportunity than this weekend’s Virginia Food & Wine Festival, which the Farm Bureau puts on Saturday at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.

Tickets are $12 each ($6 for Farm Bureau members) and include samples of all the food and wine tastings at the event, which runs from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are sold online only. Find out more here.

This is part of the Farm Bureau’s “Save Our Food” campaign, meant to promote local food and food products made in Virginia.

The event will include 15 wineries from around the state, in addition to some of the following tasty treats:

  • Salsas
  • Rum pralines
  • Biscotti
  • Pound cakes
  • Cooking sauces
  • Spices
  • Cheeses
  • Brunswick stew
  • Meats direct off the farm
  • Seafood
  • Holiday décor
  • Specialty Gifts
