Holiday shopping? Don’t forget the farmers’ markets.

MORE: Read more news from Fredericksburg

As you plan your gift-hunting outings to malls and shopping centers in the weeks to come, don’t forget that our area farmers’ markets offer holiday shopping dates, also. Here are details on holiday markets in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and King George:

Fredericksburg:

Come visit the Holiday Farmers Market at Hurkamp Park!  Each Saturday from Thanksgiving to Christmas, shop for delicious pies, cookies, honey, candles, soap, and much more!  Unique, hand-made holiday decorations available include swags, garlands, table arrangements, and wreaths crafted from locally harvested evergreens.  Stop by the Fredericksburg Farmers Market between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm to take part in an enduring historic holiday tradition!

Spotsylvania:

For the first time, the Spotsylvania Farmers Market will be holding holiday markets after Thanksgiving.  Come shop the Gordon Road commuter lot (weather permitting) on November 26th, December 3rd, December 10th, and December 17th.  Questions?  Contact Spotsylvania Farmers Market Manager Elizabeth Borst at 540-845-4267.

King George:

Don’t miss our 2nd Annual Holly Jolly Local Holiday Market, hosted by KG Journal on Saturday December 17, from 9am-2pm. I am attaching the information and registration form to this email. It is going to be a great event, full of hand-made gift and craft items, holiday greenery and trees, hot cocoa, greens and corn bread for breakfast, music and much more.

More information on all of these markets can be found here. Happy shopping!
