Southern cooking queen Paula Deen has quite a fan club in Fredericksburg.
Ahead of her 4 p.m. appearance at Wegmans today, she’s got quite a few of you commenting on our Facebook page. I just spoke with a Wegmans official who told me that the 600 tickets that were available for today’s book-signing ran out the day we ran a notice about the event in The Free Lance-Star food section.
Deen will be signing copies of her latest book, “Paula Deen’s Southern Cooking Bible,” which she wrote with New York Times food columnist Melissa Clark. Check back here for a report from the event, and in next week’s Food section for a story and book review.
