Something else to know about Mineral, Va.
The small town of Mineral in Louisa County is getting quite a bit of notice from out-of-towners right now because of yesterday’s quake.
Here’s one more thing to know about Mineral: They have a lively, thriving farmer’s market every Saturday morning.
I checked in this morning with market manager Becky Vigon to make sure everything was still a-go for this weekend, and got this report:
We’re moving and shaking in Mineral, but it’s not my “fault”. We’re just fine and keeping a close eye on Hurricane Irene for Saturday, but the market runs rain or shine, 8am-1pm.
