The kid-focused menus and specials that are part of Fredericksburg’s Family Table event run through Sunday, but one event left on the Family Table calendar will probably appeal to those with and without kids.
The Kitchen at Whittingham is offering a cooking class on “easy entertaining” for those 18 and up.
Taught by Foode chef Joy Crump, the class will cover a menu that includes deviled eggs with black truffle oil, fried green tomatoes, caprese with charred tomato vinaigrette, pimiento cheese toasts and butter pecan ice cream with spicy caramel sauce.
Cost is $42 per person. More info here.
If you’ve got kids to feed, don’t forget about the restaurant week itself. Find a list of participating eateries here.
