Laura Yagelski, who blogs about her quest to create healthy, low-calorie recipes for everyday cooking at Points in My Life, is among the local home gardeners working their way through an onslaught of zucchini and yellow summer squash these days.

Yagelski offered up the following recipes as suggestions for using both varieties of summer squash. In addition, she says, her recipe for “Amazing Grilled Pizza” works great with zucchini. Here are Yagelski’s zucchini recommendations:
