A roundtable on sexting, internet safety for teen girls
Every time I read a story about a man getting arrested for trying to solicit a teenage girl, I cringe. It’s so creepy. And as a parent, it’s terrifying. I know my 14-year-old son already knows a lot more about the internet than I do. That makes it pretty hard to keep track of what he’s doing online. It worries me. But I can’t even imagine how terrified I’d be if I had a teenage girl.
If you do have a teenage girl, you might want to check out this event that the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office is holding.
It’s a roundtable discussion on sexting and internet safety for teenage girls. It will be Feb. 21, 6 p.m. at Spotsylvania’s public safety building.
The event is free, but you must register. To do so, call 540/507-7107.
