Family fun this weekend
Looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend? Here are some ideas:
- Meet at the Motts Run Nature Center for a woodland night hike. Dress warmly, wear shoes with good traction and bring a flashlight. 7-8:15 p.m. The event is for children ages 6 to adult, and children must come with a paying adult. Register here. - Art Extravaganza, Rowser Building, 1739 Jefferson Davis Highway, Stafford. Saturday, Jan. 19, 9 a.m. to noon. Children enjoy painting, bead work, sand art, edible art, much more. Wear old clothes. $8 in advance, $10 at the door. 540/658-5116; staffordparks.com.
- Princess Party, Courtland High School, 6701 Smith Station Road. Jan. 19, 2–4 p.m. Princesses will design their own crown and write their own fairy tale.
