Weekend activity: Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair

The 273rd annual Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair opens today at 3 p.m. at the fairgrounds at 2400 Airport Ave. in Fredericksburg. The fair will be open through Sunday, Aug. 7.
There’s plenty to please kids of all ages at this event, from a mud bog, to a demolition derby, to a petting zoo, and then, of course, all the food and rides.
Ages 2 and up cost $7 to get in, seniors are $5. You can find more information in our Weekender story here, and on the fair’s website here.
New for kids this year: pony rides and an all-new petting zoo from Sarasota, Fla. There will also be a kids’ tractor pull this year.
