Stafford County Fair, downtown trick-or-treating and pumpkin-patch hopping top Saturday events around Fredericksburg
Saturday’s forecast calls for cool, crisp weather – expect sunny skies with temps in the upper 50s. It’s going to be a great day to get outside with your family.
Here are a few suggestions to get you started.
The Stafford County Fair continues on Saturday and Sunday at 2135 Mountain View Road.

Also on Saturday, kids (and families) are invited to go trick-or-treating in downtown Fredericksburg. Meet at the Riverfront Park along Sophia Street. Police officers will hand out free trick-or-treat bags to kids, along with a list of merchants participating.
The event runs from noon to 2 p.m., and there will be awards for best costumes.
Finally, this is the last weekend before Halloween, so if you’re still looking for that perfect pumpkin (or a farm with a pumpkin patch where your family can kick back and have some fun), check out our guide to area pumpkin patches.
