First grader’s birthday wish: Feed the hungry

Addison Everett

Last year, Addison Everett collected 300 pounds for the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank instead of getting presents for her sixth birthday. Addison, a first-grader at Hugh Mercer Elementary School, wants to collect even more food for her seventh birthday.

That birthday is coming up–Jan. 27–and she could use your help in making her birthday wish of collecting 500 pounds of food come true.

To help Addison’s effort, you can drop off food at these locations:

* The Pawn King, 4521 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407

* Domino’ s Pizza of Fredericksburg, 2010 Princess Anne St, Fredericksburg 22401

* MVP Awards 390B Kings Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22405

* Union First Market Bank 1044 Warrenton Rd, 22406 (Rt. 17 near Geico)

* All Star Pawn and Gold, 736 Warrenton Rd, #108 Fredericksburg VA 22406 (In the England Run Shopping Center)

* Peg’s Florist, 44 Mine Road, Suite 4, Stafford, VA 22554 (off 610 in the strip mall next to Walmart)

You can also email to arrange for a private pickup of your donations.

Donations will be accepted until Jan. 24.
