Girls’ night out raises money to help the homeless find jobs

Janet Sullivan, president of WINGS (Women in the Giving Spirit), presented a check for $5,000 to Meghann Cotter, director of Micah Ecumenical Ministries. The women’s charity group raised the money at WINGS’ Girls Night Out, held Oct. 1 at the Fredericksburg Country Club.

WINGS selected Micah as the recipient of the annual benefit event, for Micah’s “Step Forward” program, which helps people with multiple barriers to employment, such as the chronically homeless, to develop job and life skills and gain permanent employment.
