Gifts still needed for teenagers
The Salvation Army announced today that 1,963 children will have Christmas presents, thanks to our generous community.
But there are still some families needing holiday cheer. SERVE, a nonprofit in Stafford County, hopes to provide Christmas food and gifts to families this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And they’re especially hoping to help about 200 teenagers who won’t otherwise have presents. SERVE Director Marilyn Stevens said that the teens are often overlooked in holiday gift drives–they’re not young children or senior citizens, which are the two groups most often helped.
And SERVE needs your help.
SERVE needs gifts for teens, $20 gift cards to Walmart or Target, gift-wrapping supplies, and gift cards to grocery stores.
