Salvation Army to collect toys, coats
The Salvation Army will collect toys and coats on Saturday, Dec. 8 at area Walmart stores in Central Park, Ferry Farm, Massaponax and Celebrate Virginia on U.S. 17.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., volunteers will collect donations in cardboard trucks.
The Salvation Army hopes to collect toys for children up to age 14 and coats in all sizes.
These donations will be used to provide Christmas presents for about 1,950 area residents in need.
