Volunteers needed to clothe more than 1,000 children

The back-to-school commercials are on TV; backpacks and school supplies line the aisles of area stores. In the Fredericksburg area, that always means one thing: School Dressing Days are coming.

The event is this weekend.  The annual effort led by the Fredericksburg area’s Interfaith Community Council provides back-to-school clothes, backpacks, school supplies and toiletries to children in need. All items are purchased through donations and annual dues fromparticipating churches, and the event is run by volunteers.  Volunteers are needed.
