Toys for Tots

The holidays are coming fast, and there are still many area children who might not have gifts under the tree. This weekend, two area residents will hold their annual toy drive for Toys for Tots. That drive will be a party with food and entertainment. Guests are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy. The party will be Dec. 18, 7 p.m. to Dec. 19, 1 a.m. at Liberty Center, 5801 Southpointe Center Blvd.

Can’t attend? You can still help by dropping off your unwrapped toy at:

TownePlace Suites Marriott, 4700 Market Street; Honey Baked Ham at 2007 Plank Road or The Partners Group at 9 Center Street, Suite 107 (in Stafford).

And if you can’t make it out of your house, but have some Coca Cola bottles lying around, you can still help Toys for Tots. Now through Dec. 31, you can donate your My Coke Rewards points, so they can be used to buy toys for needy children.

The company’s press release said:

“Participating is easy for anyone, anywhere. Registered My Coke Rewards members can donate their points to Toys for Tots by entering codes found on 13 participating Coca-Cola products at www.mycokerewards.com. As the donations accumulate, Toys for Tots will be able to redeem them for gifts such as toys, skateboard helmets and basketballs.”

Donate your points here.
