Holiday Activities for Micah

Two upcoming holiday activities will help Micah Ecumenical Ministries, which works with the area’s homeless. Both are this Sunday.

Progessive Christmas Open House

Dec. 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by and visit one, two or three of Micah’s sites. Have refreshments at each stop:

  • Respite Home, 1512 Princess Anne St., enjoy appetizers and hot cider.
  • Hospitality Center, 1013 Princess Anne St., enjoy a light lunch of soup and biscuits.
  • Cold Weather Shelter, 750 Kings Highway, enjoy Christmas cookies and hot cocoa.

All visitors are asked to bring a gift of new socks or underwear.

Christmas Candlelight Dinner and Silent Auction

Sunday, Dec. 12, 6:30 p.m. in Kobler Hall of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church. Tickets are $15 and are still available. The event will include a dinner and silent auction, featuring jewelry valued at $1,200. Items will be available for viewing and bidding Dec. 12 at noon.
