New Donation Site
Well, it’s almost the middle of March and I’m just now starting on my New Year’s resolution: to get rid of the clutter in my house. I’m really good at coming up with excuses to not get my stuff to Goodwill. But they made it much easier by adding a dropoff site near my house. I can drive down the road, and drop off my stuff at a truck in the Ukrop’s parking lot. And Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is working to make it more convenient for most area residents.
RGI just opened a new donation center in Stafford, off of State Route 218 in the Town and Country Marketplace. This is the area’s first stand-alone donation center to open in a shopping center. The site is next to the Giant. An RGI employee will be on hand to give receipts.
There are unattended sites at the regional landfill on Eskimo Hill Road in Stafford County and at the Belman Recycling Center in Fredericksburg.
Attended donation centers are at Lake of the Woods, Salem Fields, Shelton Shop Road and State Route 3 in the Chancellor Center.
Additional sites are planned for Harrison Crossing, U.S. 1 in North Stafford and Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania County.
For details, call 540/371-3070 or visit RGI online.
