Doing Good

Hi! I just wanted to introduce the new blog. I plan to write about area charities and social service agencies, as I do for the paper. I picked the name after a phrase my youngest son used to say all the time. No matter what you asked, he’d reply, "Doing good." Obviously, it worked when you asked "How are you?" Although, I would have liked to see him use better grammar. But if you said, "Where are you going?" or "What were you doing?" he’d give the same answer. So it became a joke in our house.

But I thought it fit a blog about charities and social services. When they work the way they should, that’s what happens. 

Anyway, I do have a lot of plans for this blog. I hope to highlight some volunteer opportunities. And to offer some additional details on my stories. Let me know what you’d like to see on the blog: aumble@freelancestar.com.
