WIZARDS: Shaun Livingston Signed To Provide Depth At Point Guard
The Washington Wizards announced Thursday they signed guard Shaun Livingston and released Jannero Pargo in an attempt to provide greater versatility in the backcourt.
“We are obviously familiar with what Shaun brings both on and off the court based on his previous time here and we’re confident that he will be a positive addition to our team,” president Ernie Grunfeld said in a statement released by the team. “His size and playmaking ability will give us more flexibility in the backcourt.”
Livingston, 27, spent last season with Milwaukee, where he averaged 5.5 points, 2.1 assists and 2.1 rebounds while starting 27 of the 58 games he played in. He spent the preseason with Houston and scored 10 points over four games.
Pargo appeared in all seven games for the Wizards (0-7) and averaged three points and two rebounds.
