Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:
CVS, 591 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 8/13 6:40 a.m. The overnight pharmacist reported that a male subject approached the counter holding a handkerchief to his face. When the pharmacist stepped forward to offer assistance, the subject put his hand to his waist and both physically and verbally implied that he had a weapon. The subject then pushed his way through the swinging door dividing the customer waiting area from the restricted access section and demanded that the pharmacist turn over the store’s supply of Oxycodone from the safe. The pharmacist complied, and the man fled from the store on foot. The suspect was described as a black male in his mid 20s, clean shaven and with short hair. He was wearing a black ball cap with a letter “B” on it, a black short-sleeved T-shirt, khaki cargo style shorts, and black hightop sneakers.

1000 block Wicklow Dr, 8/11 – 8/13 9:40 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole the rear license plate from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
400 block Riverside Manor Blvd, 8/13 8:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole his bicycle from the patio. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
The Boutique at Caroline Street, 726 Caroline St, 8/13 2:25 p.m. The manager reported that two black male subjects and a black female, all in their 40s – 50s, acted together to steal items of merchandise from the store. The investigation is ongoing.
Wegmans, 2281 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/11 – 8/13 4:00 p.m. A Woodford resident reported that an unknown person scratched and damaged her vehicle while it was parked in the lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Tracy McLeod, 49, of Triangle was arrested for shoplifting at CVS.
Shannon Spencer, 36, of Locust Grove was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of schedule IV narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, grand larceny with intent to resell, and felony shoplifting from Walmart and Ulta Beauty Supply.
Zachary Rankin, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark.
Elizabeth Stringer, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark.
James Kirtley, 19 of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark.
Andrew Evans, 18, of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark.
Catherine Mahe, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark.
Matthew Strong, 45, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.
