Daily Crime Report 7/23/2014

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

UNLAWFUL FILMING:

Kloke Enterprises, 300 Lansdowne Rd, 6/1 – 7/10 9:30 p.m.  A 21-year-old Spotsylvania resident reported that during a job interview at the business, she was asked by the interviewer to remove all of her clothing and try on uniforms in an empty office.  During a second interview five or six weeks later, she was asked again to remove her clothing and follow additional instructions of the interviewer.  This time the victim discovered a concealed camera in the room with her.  Following an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a home in Spotsylvania County, Mark Allan Haynes, 46, was arrested on July 22 for unlawfully videotaping or photographing a person in a state of undress and without their consent (§ 18.2-386.1).  Haynes was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $2500 bond.

Anyone with information or who may have been a victim of a similar crime involving Haynes is urged to contact Detective Carlos Reyes at 540-654-5919.

BRANDISHING:

1800 block Carl D Silver Pkwy, 7/22 7:00 p.m.  A 20-year-old Stafford resident reported that he and his girlfriend were turning from Plank Road onto Carl D Silver Parkway when a blue Volkswagen Jetta first cut them off, then got behind their vehicle and started following them at a close distance.  The two drivers exchanged hand gestures and then the driver of the Jetta brandished a handgun.  At the Walmart, the victim proceeded to the gas pumps and called police, while the Jetta drove to the rear of the store.  When officers located the Jetta exiting the parking lot and stopped it, they found the driver had two small children in the back seat and a handgun on the floorboard.  Nicholas Chitwood, 35, of Unionville was arrested for brandishing a firearm and two counts of child endangerment.  Chitwood was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under $1500 and $2500 bonds.

VANDALISM:

1400 block Princess Anne St, 7/21 – 7/22 10:00 a.m.  A visitor reported that an unknown person vandalized his vehicle with spray paint.  A second vehicle and a building in the vicinity also had similar damage.  The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

JJ’s Treasures, 1001 Caroline St, 7/13 -7/20 2:00 p.m.  The owner reported that an unknown person stole a set of silver flatware from a display case.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Jessi Libertelli, 32, of Fredericksburg was arrested for assault and battery.
