Daily Crime Report 6/2/2014

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

BURGLARY:

100 block Longstreet Ave, 6/1 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.  A realtor reported that an unknown person forced open the back door of a vacant residence.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

LARCENY:

1300 block Caroline St, 5/29 – 5/30 8:30 a.m.  A resident reported that an  unknown person stole a FedEx-delivered package from his front porch, rummaged through the package, then abandoned the box and its contents behind the library dumpster.  The investigation is ongoing.

R&R Antiques, 1001 Caroline St, 5/29 11:00 a.m.  A vendor reported that an unknown person stole a display case from his counter.  The investigation is ongoing.

Total Wine, 1641 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 5/21 – 5/31 9:30 a.m.  A manager reported that two unknown men stole dollies and pallets from outside the rear of the store.  The investigation is ongoing.

Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 5/31 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  An employee reported that an unknown person stole money from her purse.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

400 block Fauquier St, 5/31 – 6/1 10:00 a.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person stole the top from a lawn ornament.  The offender also pulled up a nearby parking sign and left it in the victim’s front yard.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

300 block Riverside Manor Blvd, 5/29 – 6/1 5:30 p.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person stole a firearm from his home.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Jay’s Lounge, 2030 Plank Rd, 5/31 – 6/1 1:30 p.m.  A manager reported that two men stole a cabinet, fan assembly, and a push cart from outside the rear of the business.  The investigation is ongoing.

1000 block Myrick St, 5/28 5:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person stole an emblem from his vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

Sunshine Ballpark Foundation, 1200 Wicklow Dr, 5/30 8:30 p.m.  Police responded for an alarm activation and found a shattered window on the building.  The surveillance video showed images of juveniles throwing rocks at the building.  The investigation is ongoing.

DUI ARRESTS:

Martin Miguel, 26, of Hyattsville, Maryland was arrested for DUI in the 100 block of William Street.

Michael Bowie, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 2000 block of Cowan Boulevard.

ARRESTS:

Elijah Statia, 18, of Stafford was arrested for petit larceny.

Kyrsten McGuinness, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Lucas Kozsky, 27, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication and inhaling noxious chemicals.

Norris Payne, 49, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication.

Karl Kutschera, 47, of Fredericksburg was arrested for trespassing.

Maricela Chavez, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for child neglect.
