Daily Crime Report 5/14/2014

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

BURGLARY:

300 block Central Rd, 3/15 – 5/13 7:30 p.m.  A Spotsylvania resident reported that an unknown person broke in to his storage unit and stole several antique radios and other items of value.  The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 5/12 4:00 p.m.  A student reported that an unknown person stole his iPhone from a locker room.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 5/13 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  A patient reported that an unknown person stole a quantity of cash from her wallet.  The investigation is ongoing.

Paragon Gymnastics, 1410 Central Park Blvd, 5/13 9:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.  A Spotsylvania resident reported that an unknown person stole two firearms from his vehicle in the parking lot.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

1400 block Preserves Ln, 5/6 – 5/13 12:00 p.m.  A project manager reported that an unknown person damaged the electrical box controlling the gate to the construction entrance.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Daniel Howdershelt, 25, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of heroin and possession of a schedule III narcotic.

Caitlin McCartney, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Virginia Beach charging her with grand larceny.
