Daily Crime Report 4/1/2014

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:


2000 block Augustine Ave, 3/31 5:15 p.m.  A 34-year-old resident reported that he met up with a male subject outside the vacant Wonder Bread building for the purpose of purchasing narcotics.  The intended purchase turned into a physical altercation and the victim was stabbed in the leg and punched in the face before the offender ran from the scene. The offender was described as a white male possibly in his 30s, 5’11” with a stocky or muscular build, bald and with a goatee.  He was wearing an earring in each ear, a white or tan sweatshirt or hoodie, and jeans.  The victim was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.  The investigation is ongoing.


IHOP, 2831 Plank Rd, 3/31 4:30 a.m.  An employee reported that four patrons left the restaurant without paying for their meals.  The investigation is ongoing.

1000 block Heritage Park, 3/30 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.  A visitor reported that an unknown person stole her prescription medication.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Wegmans, 2281 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 3/31 5:50 p.m.  A patron reported that an unknown person stole his laptop computer from his vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.
