Daily Crime Report 3/21/2014

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

ASSAULT:

IHOP, 2831 Plank Rd, 3/21 2:55 a.m.  Police responded to reports of a fight at the restaurant and broke up several groups of people who were arguing and causing a disturbance both inside and outside the business.  Two male subjects had injuries from assaults that had occurred during the incidents but neither victim required medical attention or wanted to pursue charges against their assailants.  The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 3/20 9:00 a.m.  A student reported that an unknown person stole his iPod from his backpack.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

800 block Cobblestone Blvd, 3/19 – 3/20 11:00 a.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person stole jewelry and a quantity of bank checks from her apartment.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Jay’s Lounge, 2030 Plank Rd, 3/21 2:10 a.m.  A patron reported that an unknown person stole a handgun from his unsecured vehicle in the parking lot.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

IHOP, 2831 Plank Rd, 3/21 2:45 a.m.  A patron reported that an unknown person stole his cell phone during a disturbance at the restaurant.  No suspects or witnesses at this time. 

ARRESTS:

Ruby Washington, 54, of Fredericksburg was arrested for disorderly conduct and violation of the noise ordinance.

Matthew Huntley, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication and violation of a protective order.
