Daily Crime Report 1/23/2014

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

LARCENY:

Paragon Gymnastics, 1410 Central Park Blvd, 1/22 3:20 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.  A patron reported that an unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse.  The victim later found her purse inside a dumpster, but a quantity of cash was missing from it.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Regal Cinemas, 3301 Plank Rd, 1/22 7:00 p.m. – 9:20 p.m.  A patron reported that an unknown person broke a window on his vehicle and stole sunglasses and a phone charger from inside it.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

FRAUD:

Wells Fargo Bank, 325 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 1/21 4:20 p.m.  An employee reported that a female subject attempted to cash a fraudulent check but left the scene prior to police arrival.  The suspect was described as a small-framed black female approximately 20 years old who left the area in a vehicle with New York license plates.  The investigation is ongoing.

ARRESTS:

Evan Pugh, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from WaWa.

William Cooper, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested for resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer as well as on warrants from Stafford charging him with grand larceny of a vehicle, obstruction of justice, and disregarding a law enforcement command.

Joe Washington, 50, of Stafford was arrested for urinating in public.

Rebekah Mills, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault.
