Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:
Jay’s Lounge, 2030 Plank Rd, 1/9 1:20 a.m. Police responded to Mary Washington Hospital for a report of a male patient who had been shot in the lower leg. The 21-year-old victim, a city resident, reported that he was walking from the business to meet his ride in the parking lot when he heard gunfire and saw a man in a white Crown Victoria. The victim jumped into the car waiting for him while the Crown Victoria left the parking lot and headed toward I95. The victim then realized he had been injured and was driven to the emergency room. The victim sustained a non life-threatening shooting injury to his ankle. The possible suspect in the white Crown Victoria was described as a light-skinned black male with dreadlocks. The investigation is ongoing.
200 Gunnery Rd, 12/23 – 1/6 10:00 a.m. A coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club reported that the license plates were stolen from one of their vehicles. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Ricardo Rodriguez, 28, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 300 block of Charles Street.
Robert Baker, 62, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing.
