Daily Crime Report 12/13/2013

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

LARCENY:

700 block Mary Ball St, 12/7 – 12/8 11:00 a.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person stole a Christmas decoration from her front yard.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Blue Shark Antiques, 904 Caroline St, 12/11 5:30 p.m. – 12/12 1:45 p.m.  The owner reported that a male subject stole two rings from a locked case while his female companion diverted the owner’s attention to another part of the store.  No known suspects at this time.  

Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 12/11- 12/12 12:30 a.m.  A patient reported that an unknown person stole his vehicle from the parking lot.  The vehicle is a 1999 red Chevrolet Cavalier with Virginia license plates.  The investigation is ongoing.

Car Authority, 1695 Dixon St, 12/4 – 12/12 2:00 p.m.  An employee reported that an unknown person stole the license plates from his vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.  

Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 12/12 11:00 p.m.  A patron reported that an unknown person stole her cell phone after she accidentally left it inside a restroom.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

Charlotte International, 1609 Dixon St, 12/12 12:00 a.m. – 12:40 p.m.  An employee reported that an unknown person punctured the tires of two vehicles in the parking lot.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Marcus Smith, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Brian Bennett, 21, of Stafford was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Thomas Sitsch, 55, of Monroe, New Hampshire was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
