Daily Crime Report 2/26/2013

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:

200 block South St, 2/25 4:40 p.m.  Police responded to Mary Washington Hospital for a report of a 27-year-old male subject who been dropped off at the emergency department with a serious stab wound to the abdomen.  A short time later, the offender turned himself in to detectives at Police Headquarters.  Marlon Cortez Brown, 48, of Fredericksburg was arrested for malicious wounding and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.  The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

1300 block Forest Village, 2/23 – 2/25 7:00 a.m.  A resident reported that a quantity of cash was stolen from her apartment.  The investigation is ongoing.

Radio Shack, 1287 Carl D Silver pkwy, 2/24 6:15 p.m.  An employee reported that her cell phone was stolen while she was working.  The investigation is ongoing.

VANDALISM:

1300 block Littlepage St, 2/25 7:45 a.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person damaged the light pole in her front yard.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

James Bonsall, 58, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, each charging him with probation violation.

Frank Smith, 57, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing.

Twylla Harris, 40, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.

Bond Thompson, 54, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication after being interdicted.

Wayne Payne, 50, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication after being interdicted.

Katelyn Rose, 18, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.
